Like so many great innovations, Hagar’s development was established by accident. Dr. Geri Weintraub, CTO and expert in RF waves, was working on creating defense technology at the Technion and after spilling a cup of tea, he observed with great curiosity as the RF monitors reacted in an extremely volatile manner. Being the brilliant entrepreneur that he is, this finding led to his discovery that the combination of the sugar in his tea reacting together with the RF waves, created the revolutionary technology for Hagar's non-invasive glucometer. 

 

Hagar’s non-invasive self monitoring glucometer is able to measure glucose levels in the blood in an ongoing and real-time manner. After POC was determined, Hagar moved to have its product tested in a clinical trial at Tel Hashomer, Israel's top leading medical center, rated number 10 in the world.

The current method for glucose monitoring for those with diabetes consists of multiple daily pricks and\or using Invasive monitoring systems.
